Dr. L. Dwight Baker, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, is committed to delivering the highest quality aesthetic care to his patients. Beginning his pre-med education at Auburn University in Alabama, Dr. Baker then continued to the University of South Alabama in Mobile where he received his medical degree. Dr. Baker completed his general and vascular surgery residency at Carraway Methodist Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama where he was Chief Resident. He practiced general surgery for 9 years in Georgia and Alabama prior to shifting his surgical focus. He completed his plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at the respected Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.

Dr. Baker has been a practicing Plastic Surgeon in Dothan, Alabama since 1993 and established Dothan Plastic Surgery in 1999. Dr. Baker is dedicated to providing the highest quality cosmetic surgery in a friendly, private setting at an affordable price. Respected by his patients because of his excellent reputation and honesty, Dr. Baker is very thorough in his consultations and enjoys the one-on-one relationships he develops with his patients. Dr. Baker wants each patient to make an informed decision regarding plastic surgery.

Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, Dr. Baker is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. The recipient of the Physician Recognition Award for the past 5 years from the American Medical Association, Dr. Baker is also an active member of numerous other medical associations, including the Mayo Alumni Association, the Priestly Society, the Carraway Surgical Society and the Alabama Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons.

Dr. Baker is an avid Auburn Tiger fan and enjoys fly fishing and the outdoors. Both originally from central Alabama, Dr. Baker and his wife Loretta have resided in Dothan since 1993. They have 3 wonderful children, a grandson and are active members of the First United Methodist Church of Dothan.
